Alameda Adopts Urgency Ordinance for Just Cause Protections

The Alameda City Council voted this week to adopt an urgency ordinance—effective immediately—that will provide “just cause” protections to Section 8 renters and set new rules for owner move-in evictions, relocation payments, and buyout agreements.
